We are supported by Allied Health Professionals attached to the practice, including a Psychologist, Diabetes Educator, Chinese Herbalist/Acupuncturist, Orthopaedic surgeon and our own Incontinence Clinic.
Heather RailtonRegistered Psychologist
Heather has been working as a Psychologist for 30 years. She graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) in 1974 and completed her Masters degree at Sydney University in 1976.
Heather initially started her career working as a Psychologist for the Department of Health in Western Sydney, working with both children and their families, and adults in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She then moved to the Central Coast to take up a position as a Child and Family Psychologist at Toukley Health Centre. She has worked exclusively in Private Practice since 1993.
Heather has extensive experience as a clinician working with both adults and children. Heather also has a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, which broadens her clinical skills.
Kiku AikinsHerbal Acupuncturist
As a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Kiku has a B.AppSc degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). Her scope of practice includes acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, massage, cupping and moxibustion (herbal thermal therapy).

Private health fund rebates are available for acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Work Cover patients are welcome as well. Kiku’s interests include women’s health, arthritis and obesity.
She also treats many other health problems such as headache, migraine, neck and back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, gastro-intestinal disorders, high blood pressure, fatigue, anxiety, insomnia, impotence, infertility, IVF support, hay fever, sinusitis and skin problems.

Dr Simon Hutabarat is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who is a member of the Australian Orthopaedic

Association and also the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr Hutabarat completed his medical degree at the University of NSW and his Orthopaedic training in
Sydney. He has spent a year on fellowship in Hands and Arthroplasty (Upper and Lower limb) in Great
Britain and the United States.
Dr Hutabarat has worked as a VMO Orthopaedic Surgeon in Gosford District Hospital and Brisbane
Waters Private Hospital. He has a private consulting room and performs regularly at Brisbane Waters
Private Hospital. He also has a vast number of publications in textbooks and journals.
Dr Hutabarat became interested in computer navigated knee replacements over 5 years ago and has
used the computer navigation system exclusively over the past 3 years. He has been an instructor at
Computer Navigated Knee Replacement Courses in Perth and in Sydney. He has more recently participated
in the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association in Delhi, India as a facilitator. He has also spent time
in Germany and France perfecting the technique.

Cathy CartyDiabetes Educator
- Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife
Catherine has been working on the Central Coast for 27 years. She has expertise in caring for patients and families with Diabetes (type 1, type 2 and gestational), promoting optimal health and well-being.
She has a special interest in managing patients requiring insulin pump therapy. Catherine is a member of the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) and ADEA Complaints Committee, Private Practice Special Interest Group, Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society and the Nurses and Midwives.
Emily Levick
Dietitian - Accredited Practising Dietitian
Emily Levick is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and a member of the Dietitian’s Association of Australia, with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Newcastle. Emily has been working with Optimum Intake Dietitians for the past 6 years. She enjoys working with clients of all ages to develop healthy eating habits, and to manage diet related conditions such food allergies and food intolerances, gut health, irritable bowel syndrome, cardiovascular disease, malnutrition and insulin resistance. Emily also has a special interest in helping clients with Diabetes, and recently completed the Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education & Management at UTS to further her expertise in this area. Emily is particularly passionate about helping all her clients develop healthy relationships with food and their bodies by using a Non-Diet Approach and working within the Healthy as Every Size paradigm.
